Nuisance Noise Recorder is a simple app designed for Android devices that automatically records noise above a set limit. It is a great tool for proving or disproving nuisance noise situations. However, it is important to note that this app is not intended to be a voice dictation or covert security app that records conversations in the background.

To use Nuisance Noise Recorder, simply run the app and monitor the decibel values. When the target noise occurs, take note of the decibel value and set the software a few points below that. You can also specify obstructions such as brick/concrete walls, wooden flooring, open windows, and fence-lines, as well as the approximate distance to the target noise.

The app will record 30-second segments whenever the decibel level exceeds the set limit. You can review the recorded events on a daily basis, with each sound file timestamped in two 12-hour clocks (AM & PM). You can play back the sound files and even remove them if necessary.

Nuisance Noise Recorder allows you to compress all the sound files for a specified date, along with a CSV file containing all the recorded events, into a zip folder. This folder can then be transferred to a PC or uploaded to your Dropbox or Google Drive.

Please note that the Export feature requires an in-app purchase to create the zip file, so make sure you are happy with the recordings before making the purchase. The sound files are in standard WAV format and can be played on both Windows desktop and Android devices, while the CSV file can be opened in any text editor or MS Excel.
